Let’s pull back the curtain of oblivion and discover the untold truth of CARRINGTON-BROWN: which includes 30 years of stage, 15 years of therapy and a lifetime of music. Come on a hilarious, but also informative, journey.
Last year Carrington-Brown brought out the “Mockumentary” Cheers! In this cinematic, yet absurd, musical and very British documentary, fans and new audiences alike get a glimpse into the story of this music and comedy duo.
Rebecca Carrington is a virtuoso British cellist and singer but has always loved making people laugh. Colin Brown, her husband is very British and has a wicked sense of humour, giving us the benefit of his beautiful bass voice when he’s not playing the bagpipes or the maracas!
With their new show, “So British” they bring this story live on stage, combining some of the film with their stage show. Two Brits, who have been living in Berlin for almost 20 years, celebrate their love of music with a very british sense of humor. In this international show they not only share their stories of how two Brits live their lives in Berlin but also speak and sing of their travels worldwide.
Performing a rich tapestry of the world of music, whether they are original songs or ones you might have heard before, Carrington-Brown’s interpretations are as unique as the stamp they put on them.

Rebecca Carrington violoncelliste anglaise virtuose pleine de folie et de dérision est accompagnée de son talentueux et très British compagnon Colin Brown ancien choriste de Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Lisa Stanfield et autres stars British, s’il vous plaît! Colin joue avec un flegme et un humour décapant nous faisant profiter de sa belle voix de basse quand il ne joue pas de la cornemuse ou des maracas.
Les Carrington-Brown forment un duo musical élégant et étincelant, inventant une rivalité de couple ou brocardant les travers des français et des anglais en jouant avec les accents. Ils créent un duel irrésistible entre Colin/Mickael Jackson et Rebecca/Madonna rendant le public complice de leurs facéties. Colin tout en robe et boucles d’oreilles vient même interprèter Nina Simone tout en émotion. Vivant à Berlin, les deux anglais ont été si traumatisés par le brexit qu’il en ont fait un sketch musical très ironique.
Les Carrington-Brown et leur violoncelle “Joe” aiment à nous faire parcourir le monde en épinglant les peuples avec espièglerie, offrant une parodie des genres musicaux avec une certaine imagination, mixant Bach et les Beatles passant de la pop à l’opéra, de la marche écossaise à la bossa-nova. Rebecca et Colin, joue de leur belle complicité pour un spectacle jubilatoire.
Biographie résumée:
Rebecca Carrington, chanteuse et violoncelliste est interprète sur la création de grandes musiques de films comme “Harry Potter” ou “Lord of the Rings”, enregistre également avec des artistes comme Aretha Franklin, Paul McCartney, David Byrne.
Colin Brown, a travaillé pour la Royal Shakespeare Company. Il créa le groupe britannique The Magnets avec lequel il fait la tournée de Lisa Stanfield, Tom Jones ou Michael Ball. En 2006, Colin rejoint Robbie Williams pour sa tournée mondiale en tant que choriste. En tant que un Comédien, il joue dans le prochain film de Leos Carax, Annette, aux côtés de Marion Cotillard et Adam Driver.
C’est à Edimbourg, lors du festival Fringe que Rebecca et Colin se rencontrent. C’est le coup de foudre ! Ils décident de créer leur duo musical d’humour Carrington-Brown à ce jour multi primé et partir vivre à Berlin pour se produire à l’international.
